ELAINE WAKEFILED, RDN, LD, CDE • DIETITIAN
Elaine Wakefield is one of our metabolic dietitians working part-time at the CHC Clinic. She is glad to be filling in for a short time as an interim dietitian.
Elaine has had a variety of experiences as a dietitian including working with children with special needs at the former Northern Indiana State Hospital, general hospital in-patient and out-patient clinical dietetics and specialized in diabetes education. Elaine was employed full-time at the CHC from 2019 to 2022, when she retired. She loves finding and trying recipes for low protein foods that so many of the CHC patients need.
Elaine has been enjoying traveling, visiting her grandchildren and making quilts. She lives nearby in Michigan with her husband, Bruce.
