Abby Smith, MS is a genetic counselor. She started at the Community Health Clinic in 2024 working part-time seeing patients and part-time as a study coordinator for research.
Abby received a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology and Molecular/Cellular Neuroscience from Loyola University Chicago. She received her Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Before becoming a genetic counselor, Abby worked as a research technician and lab manager in the Advanced Center for Translational and Genetic Medicine Lab at Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.
In her free time, she enjoys biking, reading, baking, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her husband and two cats.
